About the Compliance Unit
Established in 2024, the LSBPSE Compliance Unit promotes lawful, professional, and ethical private security services throughout Louisiana. Through company audits, instructor observations, administrative investigations, and enforcement activities, the unit helps ensure that security companies, officers, and instructors comply with Louisiana law and LSBPSE rules.
The Compliance Unit works to identify potential violations, provide compliance guidance, and support corrective action when necessary. These efforts help maintain industry standards while protecting the public.
Strengthening Accountability Across Louisiana
Compliance is more than identifying violations. It is about promoting consistent standards, encouraging responsible practices, and helping Louisiana's private security industry operate with integrity.
By working with licensed companies, instructors, security officers, and other agencies, the Compliance Unit supports improved training, regulatory awareness, and accountability throughout the industry. The unit also serves as a resource for companies and instructors seeking guidance on compliance requirements, helping prevent violations before they occur.
Together, we can strengthen professional standards, protect the public, and build lasting trust in Louisiana's private security industry.
