Established in 2024, the Compliance Unit supports both public protection and industry improvement. Its work is designed not only to identify violations, but also to clarify expectations, encourage corrective action, strengthen the quality of private security services, and build public trust through transparency and accountability.


The Compliance Unit promotes lawful, professional, and ethical private security services throughout Louisiana. Through company audits, administrative investigations, instructor observations, and coordinated enforcement, the unit works to ensure that private security companies, security officers, and instructors meet the standards established by Louisiana law and LSBPSE rules.
