About Us
The Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners (LSBPSE) and its administrative agency exist to protect the public. We regulate Louisiana’s private security industry by establishing professional standards, reviewing qualifications, issuing licenses and registrations, overseeing required training, and enforcing applicable laws and rules.
Through regulation and oversite, LSBPSE works to ensure security officers, instructors, and companies are properly qualified, trained, and accountable.

What We Do
Our primary mission is to safeguard the public by ensuring only qualified individuals and companies work in the private security industry. We establish and enforce standards for training, experience, and conduct for security officers, instructors, and companies.
License and Register
We issue licenses and registrations for security officers, instructors, and security companies that meet all legal requirements.
Compliance Management
We investigate complaints, proactively audit, and take enforcement action when laws or rules are violate.
Education and Training
We establish training programs, approve training providers, and ensure course curriculum meet Board standards.
